African Twist Is Nominated For 7 Categories at the Indie Series Awards

Lucky number 7 isn't just for the Las Vegas tourist but this number now belongs to Las Vegas based series creator, director and star of African Twist Hellene Alabi-Williams, screenwriter and co-star Antonio Williams and the cast and crew of African Twist as the nominations were announced this morning for the 14th Annual Indie Series Awards. African Twist has nominated for 7 categories including; Best Drama Series, Best Ensemble, Best Directing Drama, Best Writing Drama and best Make-Up.

Cast members has been nominated as well for Best Lead Actor Drama (Wendell Kinney) and Best Lead Actress Drama (Iretiola Doyle).

"We're so ecstatic about the nominations especially going up against some great series." Antonio says of the nominations. "7 nomination is fitting because it's the number of completion. It's God's perfect timing."

This is coming on the heels of the complete release of all 10 episodes of the dramedy. The 14th Annual Indie Series Awards will be held at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA on May 15th. The show is also expecting to stream on YouTube.
